Four sterling silver overlay sherbet / ice cream dishes, ca.1900. The overlay is made of sheets of sterling (tested) over the glass and should not be confused with silver deposit (a process that leaves a thin film of silver and can wear quite quickly). There is no maker's mark on any of the dishes. These are of very high quality glass and silver craftsmanship. They measure 3 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" tall. They're in excellent condition with no problems whatsoever.
