Antique Pastel Potrait of a Child With Period Oval Frame

This is the second of two little girl portraits we are putting in our shop this week - both with the same style antique frame. This one is a pastel with wonderful colors and is in excellent shape. The pretty little girl looks a bit younger than the other portrait, the artist has done a great job with the colors, shading and details. The portrait is under glass and measures 17 1/4" X 14 1/4". This frame is a gold gilt gessoed beauty in excellent shape. It measures 24 1/4" X 21 1/2". There are two very tiny pieces of gesso missing on the outer edges at 3:00 and a small crack on the inner part at 12:00 and 6:00. The gilt has some tarnish but it is smooth and shiny. A must for the serious collector of antique frames and portraits.
