A nicely executed Antique Oil on Canvas Still Life Painting of a tipped over Basket of White Flowers and Red Berries mixed in. The Painting is initialed lower right M.A.S. 1893. We have no knowledge as to whose initials these may be but clearly a skilled Artist. The Painting is in great condition with no scrapes, holes, scuffs, tears, or damage visible. It has craquelure throughout and it is possible it has been cleaned and restored or maybe just well taken care of over the years. The Frame is a beauty of an original 19th century Carved and Gold Gilded Gesso piece that despite its losses of leaf here and there still maintains a great look. It has enough of the remaining Gesso elements to it that total restoration is highly possible and this would only add to the value of this fine piece. Measurements are approximately 21.50 by 27.50 inches Frame overall, 13.50 by 19.50 art sight size. Frame is approximately 1.50 inches thick.
