An Antique Oval Seascape Painting Scene of a lone Sailboater on choppy Seas with large billowing Clouds in the distance and other Vessels Sailing in the distance. This Painting is done on a canvas but somewhere in its past it was laid down onto a piece of artboard. It is in great shape with no damages or losses visible. There is a newer beige colored matte. The Frame is a work of Art in itself with its beautifully hand carved edging all around giving it a sort of Adirondack look to it. The center gold gilt oval adds a nice touch also. The Painting is unsigned but clearly executed by a talented hand. Art sight measurement is 6.38 by 8.38 inches oval. Frame measurements are 14 by 16 inches overall, and 3 inches thick. We believe the Frame wood to be Maple. There is no hanging hook or wire on the back of this Frame.
