Vintage Oil on Board Painting Signed Forbes 1911 Still Life

This is a nice primitive vintage oil on board painting of pretty flowers on a table. It is signed in the lower right corner - it appears to be I.V. Forbes 1911 (the V could possibly be a K). The colors and the layout of the flowers on the table make this a lovely piece of art. There are a couple of small spots on the lower left that appear to be a wax drop - we chose not to have this painting cleaned, for it looks fine as is. Size of the art is 7 3/4" X 5". It has a nice old frame that is gold gilt and gesso, with round beading framing the pictures inner edge (this beading is totally intact with no pieces missing). There is a little tiny triangular piece of gesso missing in the upper right corner and the outer corners have some wear. Size is 10" X 7" X 1". The perfect size for that little space on your wall.
