Watercolor Mountain by Philip Plaistridge Matted and Framed

This is a really nice matted gouache (watercolor) painting under glass and in a frame. Signature of the artist is in the lower left corner Philip Plaistridge (we have been told he is from Winchester, NH and has done many illustrations). It is a lovely wooded mountain scene with lots of fine details that bears a strong resemblance to nearby New Hampshires Mount Monadnock. There is a rock wall with barbed wired on top and really fine trees and mountains. Size of the gouache is 18 3/4" X 13 1/2". There is an off white matting, a wooden frame that measures 26 3/4" X 21 1/2", there are 4 metal brackets in each corner on the back of the frame and a glass covering the art work. This is one of the best gouache watercolors we have come across in a while. Ready to hang and looking for a home -a must for the collector.
