A nicely preserved early 19th century English two Compartment Tea Caddy made of wood and decorated in Mother of Pearl Floral Embellishments and fine Hand Painted Gold Gilding and Swirls. Round Brass feet on the bottom and Compartment lift handles. Brass Hinges, latch, and keyhole but no key.The silver liner is 95 percent intact in the compartments, on the lid undersides and cover underside. 4.25 deep by 6.75 wide by 6.75 tall. Obtained at a New Hampshire Antique Estate Auction. This tea caddy is in excellent shape for the age. This is a beauty for your collection - we have not seen one like it through our travels.
