18th C Oil on Canvas Interior Scene With Period Frame-Lovely Antique

This is a nice 18th century painting, it is oil on canvas. The scene is of someone asleep in a chair with an opened book in front of her and a man and a woman walking in on the sleeping victim. There is paint loss on the right side and across the bottom. Size of the painting is 12 3/4" X 10 1/2". The period frame is wood gold gilt gesso and has diagonal spline corners dovetailing on the back. There is some cracks and missing gesso but overall a very solid frame. Frame size is 18 1/2" X 16 1/4" X 2 1/4", back opening is 13 1/2" X 11 1/4".
