An Antique Fancy Walnut Picture Frame with loads of detailed woodwork throughout and an inner Gold Gilt Liner with Stenciling. Starting at the outermost edge we have side reeded columns all around, down the side to 3 columns, a half round cove to a flat edge which has a black lacquer half round all around to the inner Gold Gilt with Stenciling. The outer side edges also have a reeding to a concave edge back outward to a flat. If this all sounds to confusing, just look at the photos and you will get a good idea of the fine detailed work on this fabulously well preserved Antique Picture Frame. On the reverse is the mostly intact Manufacturers Original Paper Label which reads: Simonds & Co. Manufacturers Fitzwilliam N.H. This particular Manufacturing Company was in Business from 1832-1907. This Frames condition is outstanding, with only minor scratches here and there, and some black spotting on the gilt, with a couple of scratches also. Measurements are 13.50 by 15.38 inches overall, just over 2 inches total thickness, 7.62 by 9.62 inches art sight opening, 8.1 by 10 inches art opening in back.
