This is an Edwardian 14KW gold filigree ring with .85 CT Old European Cut diamond. The diamond is VS2 and G-H. The Old European cut is made with an open culet that lets all the light in. The ring really sparkles and shines. You will note that there is a small amount of yellow gold used just for the prongs that hold the diamond. This is left over from the old fashioned notion that yellow gold was stronger than white. I love this type of ring with this cut of diamond. And I think that the side detail is especially clean and beautiful in this ring. A size 7 which can be re-sized. Enjoy!
