I have searched the Internet and once again cannot find a necklace as fine as this one. It has that wonderful swag and style of the Victorians. The Garnets are large and lush and the condition is very good estate condition. The only defect I have noticed is that it has lost the end of its little chain that dangles down from the swag. The vintage chain attaches at the side of the necklace for ease of closure, as was the fashion in the late 1800's. It is hallmarked 14K. The necklace is 18" in total and the pendant is 2" by 1 1/4". This estate piece is from a CT estate and shares heritage with item #1387.
