A very pretty Victoria Austria demitasse porcelain cup and saucer in pink, yellow and white with gold trim. The cup has a scalloped gilded rim with raised fluted pattern, the bottom is also scalloped with a scrolled pattern and there is an ornate gilded handle. The matching saucer has a scalloped gilded rim and is 4 3/4 inches in diameter. The demitasse cup is 2 1/4 inches at the rim and 2 inches at the bottom and is 2 1/4 inches high. The pink colour fades to white then gradually changes to yellow on both cup and saucer. 'Victoria Carlsbad Austria' is marked on the bottom of both pieces, this was the mark used by Schmidt & Co. from 1891 to 1918. The gilded edge has worn away on both the cup and saucer but otherwise this beautiful set is in very good condition.
