Royal Doulton Glamis Thistle cup and saucer set signed by the artist P. Curnock. The footed cup is 3 1/2" in diameter not counting the rounded handle and stands 2 3/4" high. The saucer is 5 1/2" in diameter and has the Royal Doulton green mark on the bottom and 'Glamis Thistle Found Near Glamis Castle Home Of The Queen Mother' and pattern number H.4601. The cup also has the Royal Doulton mark and 'Glamis Thistle H.4601'. Both pieces are signed by the artist P. Curnock (Perry Curnock). This pattern was made from 1937 and discontinued in 1961. The cup and saucer set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or loss of colour.
