An elegant rectangular compact of Mother of Pearl squares on the front with adjustable initials 'B H' in the centre of the Mother of Pearl. The back of the compact is ribbed gold tone metal and there are etched gold tone side pieces on the lid. The cover of the powder well is marked 'Patent' at the top and 'AGME Made in Switzerland' at the bottom. The bevelled mirror, powder puff and screen are all in excellent condition with tight clips and there is a small amount of powder in the powder well. The compact comes with a dust cover and measures 3 3/8" by 2 5/8" by 3/8".

There is some very fine surface scratching on the back which does not detract from the beauty of this lovely vintage compact.

The initials on the lid can be changed by pulling out the bottom part of the side pieces to reveal wheels which rotate the letters.

This beautiful c.1960 compact is in excellent condition and can be customized to make a lovely gift.
