Antique Chelsea Mantle Clock, Early Bell Model

This is an antique Chelsea Ships Bell Clock. The clock has the original wood base and back board which measures 10 inches in height, the base is 10x5 inches. The brass clock itself measures 9 inches in height, the base is 3.5x8.5 inches. The clock has two prongs on top, they would have hooked up two wires to a bell, and then the bell would ring on the hour. The bell is no longer with the clock. The face of the clock is 5.75 inches in diameter. The clock is in perfect physical condition with no damage or repairs. There is no dents or scratches. the clock has the original aged patina. IT is a very rare model clock and a very early one. There is a tag that we found in the clock, pictured saying it is from 1917. We were able to take the main part of the clock off from the base, pictured, the back of the case is signed Chelsea. We wound the clock up, the bell inside the clock works fine.The key wound it but the clock did not run, we believe it probably needs a simple adjustment after not being used all these years. We did not take the face off the clock because the screws are difficult to take off, we fully gurantee it to be all original.
