This is a dazzling little Limoges 5-piece vanity set. It consists of a lidded 5" powder box, lidded 5" trinket box, lidded 3" trinket box, and two 7 1/4" bud vases, with beautiful etched gold necks. The coloring is fabulous, and the neoclassical hand painted design is truly elegant. Overall, the condition of the set is very good-to-excellent. There are a couple of minor items that I do want to point out, and close up photos have been provided. On the 5" trinket box, there is a small bit of wear to the blue band. On the 3" trinket box, there is a small, tight, hairline, mostly on the underside of the lid. On the 5" powder box, there's a tiny fleabite on the bottom lip of the lid. Inside the neck of one of the vases, what appears to be a shadow is actually a small unglazed area. Although all of these are extremely minor in nature, as you can see in the close ups, they do need to be mentioned. All five pieces have the initials J.C. and "Made In France" hand painted on the bottom. In addition, three of the pieces have a manufacturer's stamp identified as Robert Haviland Mark #1, found in use after 1924.
