Adorable hand painted cider pitcher decorated with poppies by White's Art Company. Pitcher measures 6 1/2" from handle-to-spout, and stands 5" tall. Condition is very good-to-excellent, with no chips, cracks or repairs, and just the slightest bit of wear to the gold accent trim. Signed by the artist, NEY. Stamped with the familiar red triangle White's Art Company mark. According to the Collector's Encyclopedia of Pickard China, by Alan B. Reed, the cider pitcher dates to the period 1914 to 1923. Also marked with a Bavarian manufacturer's mark, as shown. Member, Pickard Collectors Club.
