Wonderful hand painted plate from the A. Heidrich Studio depicting a wildlife scene of three deer in a creekside clearing. Adolph Heidrich was a well-known artist who worked for a number of Chicago china painting studios, and is discussed in Reed's book, the Encyclopedia of Pickard China. He operated his own studio from about 1915 to 1922. Plate measures 9 5/8" in diameter. Condition is very good-to-excellent, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
