I'm utterly and implicitly enchanted by and enthralled with Marie Antoinette. Her sense of style. Her choice of colors and outfits and accessories simply blows my mind. I've done odes to her before, this is yet another, and I seriously doubt it'll be the last.

Marie Antoinette Dreams Of Pearls was inspired by this fabulous rich burgundy hunting dress my muse wore and paired with the most immaculate of pearls.

To say that the pendant is the only centerpiece of Marie Antoinette Dreams Of Pearls would be an injustice to the other lovely components showcased here.

The lush focal, looking somewhat akin to a butterfly wing, features processions of the tiniest White Seed Pearls measuring a wee 1.5mm each, dotted with sporadic placements of Burmese Ruby Rondelles. Waterfalls of chains allow for the draping of a stunning AAA 14Ctw Faceted Ruby Briolette, 27Ctw Polished Green Onyx Briolettes, a myriad of Polished Andalusites (totalling 7Ctw) and several Polished Garnet Briolettes. A flourish of more gems namely Columbian Emeralds, more Andalusite and more Rubies tops it all of.

Now take a look at that first pair of larger Fresh Water Pearls which has been tenderly cradled with loops fashioned from triple-wrapped wire, and from which dramatically drop more Polished Green Onyx. Delectable AA Polished Garnet Ovals link up with loads more luscious Pearls.

Heavily oxidized (6 eggs, I kid you not) to provide a striking contrast against the virginal whites of the Pearls and the vivid hues of the other gemstones, Marie Antoinette Dreams Of Pearls then secures with my favorite Clasp to date. Literally studded with teeny tiny Seed Pearls which are shown off so nicely here, the Clasp is itself such a lovely talking point. In fact, I made the chains long enough so this necklace can be wrapped around twice with the, you got it, Clasp as a second centrepiece :)

Marie Antoinette Dreams Of Pearls' vital statistics are 17" for the chain and 3" for the clasp, making the overall length 20"/ The focal measures approximately 4.25". With the extension chain, this necklace can be adjusted up to 25". Both 999 Fine and 925 Sterling Silver Wires were used in the making of Marie Antoinette Dreams Of Pearls.
