Antique 1700's Pewter Plate John Home, Snow Hill, London

This is a wonderful find for your pewter collection! This 8 3/4" pewter plate is hallmarked & touch marked with "John Home, Snow Hill, London" with turned edges & is in original condition. I have verified the hallmark/touchmarks with the Pewter Society Database (Pewters Report, PS No. 15) & "Cotterell: Old Pewter, Its Makers and Marks", Ricketts: Pewterers of London 1600-1900 (Page 123), & Journal of the Pewter Society (Spr 2007 pg 43 (J501)). John Home 1749-1778, was a "Pewterer", at Snow Hill from approximately 1773-1778. The plate has not been cleaned or restored. NOTE: There is some lighting reflection (especially on the front view which appears to be a blue spot on the left side of the plate)
