Antique Stanford's Cardinal Red Ink Bottle Original Label & Ink

This is an excellent antique bottle of "Sanford's Cardinal Red Ink". It is hard to find one is such great condition, unopened with the original ink! The bottle is in excellent to near mint condition & comes with the label intact with wonderful colors & graphics & some great advertising! The side of the bottle is embossed with raised lettering "Sanford's Inks One Quart, And Library Paste". The front label reads: "Quart No. 141, Sanford's Cardinal Red Ink, Sanford Mfg. Co., Made in U.S.A., Chicago & New York". One side panel has an advertisement:"Sanford's Cardinal Red Ink, For ruling head-lines, etc. The most brilliant Red Ink Known. Sanford's Mucilage, Is made of pure Gum Arabic, thick and heavy. Sanford's Ink Eraser, Removes instantly, ink and stains from paper and cloth. Utopian jar Library Paste for all uses". The second panel has an advertisement for "Sanford's Blue-Black Fountain Pen Ink, The ink that made the fountain pen possible. All styles-All sizes-all colors. Sanford's Premium Fluid, For book-keeping and fine writing. It writes a bright blue and changes to a perfect black. It does not change color in the inkstand. It flows very freely, does not gum the pen will not cloud, and will never fade. There are great graphics throughout the label. The cap on the bottle is a metal bottle cap with a pour spout that is stamped:"Stanford's spout & the top of the pour spout is stamped:" Pat. Feb. 27. 06". The bottle measures about 11" to the top of the spout & as you can see from the photographs it still has the original ink. The spout is on nice & secure. This would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
