Queen Elizabeth II Vintage Royal Commemorative Coronation Plate

An especially pleasing plate commemorating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. This very pretty piece is slightly scalloped and highlighted in gold on both the inner and outer rim. The center image is beautifully presented in vivid color on fine cream porcelain which closely resembles Lenox, but is not marked as such.

The reverse side is stamped under the glaze "Commemorating the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, June 2, 1953, Painted by Allen Hughes." It measures a generous 10 5/8 inches in diameter and is in an excellent condition. Please click on the photo to see additional, enlarged views.
