SOLD Artist Signed French T&V Limoges Hand Painted Floral Plate

A beautifully hand painted plate produced by the French Limoges firm of Tressemanes & Vogt between 1907 and 1919. This gorgeous piece bears the Gustave Vogt purple decorating mark and is further marked "T&V" in green and "Cocttleyoc Exoniens" in amber on the underside which I believe is the horticultural name for these lovely hand painted florals. Additionally, it carries the signature of the artist which is buried in the greenery on the front. The signature is written with such a flourish that we are unsure of it, but it appears to read "L. Meager".

This richly embellished, beautiful old plate measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and is in an excellent condition with one faint spot of thin gold rub of approximately one half inch on the border near the signature. As seen in the photo, the rub is not easily noticed and does not mar the beauty of this piece. There are no repairs, nicks, chips, cracks, or other flaws of any kind.
