Offered for your consideration is this beautiful Victorian mourning brooch carved in genuine black onyx and featuring 22 exquisite little seed pearls set in a 14 KT gold, frond design along the front.

This especially sweet piece dates from the middle of the 19th century and is in a fine antique condition with no notable flaws of any kind other than a very slight wave in the pin stem. It measures 2 9/16 inches in length by 5/8 of an inch in height by 1/2 of an inch in depth. The onyx stone comprises 1/4 of an inch of that total depth.
