Art Nouveau Superb Antique Figural Brass Door Knocker

A spectacular Art Nouveau door knocker solidly cast in brass. This highly dimensional piece is modeled in the neoclassical style as a figural head crowned in acanthus leaf and dates from the late 19th Century.

It measures 6 1/2 inches tall by 4 3/4 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches deep and is made to be mounted as one piece. Condition is excellent with just a small bit of loss to the beaded rim on the clapper bottom which may be due to wear or is otherwise a result of the original casting.
