Beautiful Old Bavarian Hand Painted Cider or Lemonade Pitcher

We are pleased to offer this exceptional cider or lemonade pitcher beautifully decorated with lush hanging grapes and harvest foliage in bold autumn hues. As shown by the Z & S. Co. underglaze mark on the base, this superb example is hand painted on the fine quality porcelain of Zeh. Scherzer, a Bavarian firm first established in 1887. It also has the initials of its decorator buried in the background near its richly burnished gold handle, "C.L.R." or "C.L.A.", but we are unsure of the last letter.

We believe this choice piece was once a treasured heirloom as it has no condition flaws of any sort and appears to have been kept in a family cabinet for the last century.
