Italian 19th century wine bottle. This large, wonderful sea-green glass bottle has been hand-blown into an almost perfect form. Originally used to store and transport bulk quantities of wine, this one is significantly larger than today’s wine bottle. These kinds of bottles come in eye-catching shapes and they vary in size and color – they’re beautiful displayed on their own or grouped together. This one has a short neck and a broad, flared lip, and the base has pontil scars and a high kick. There are air bubbles, inclusions and scratches in the glass. It comes in excellent, clean condition free from chips and cracks. It measures 19 in height an approximately 7 1/2” in diameter. Please note that this item is heavy.
