Tin-glazed earthenware confit pot, late 19th century, Italian. Made from very pale colored clay, this large, utilitarian and rustic storage pot is beautifully simple and uncomplicated in design. Whether grouped together, paired or displayed alone, it is a fabulous addition to most interiors – anything from contemporary to European country style interiors. It has an opaque white glazed surface and a yellow glazed rim. The form is slightly irregular. The rim is rough and textured, the interior is pitted in a few places (as shown) and the base is crazed. The exterior is chipped in one spot and has hairlines forming in the glaze (also as shown) – all of which is a reflection of its well used past and part of its tremendous appeal today.

It measures 10 ½” in height, 10 ½” in diameter at the top and 8 ¾” in diameter at the base. Please note that the item is heavy.
