Folk art, hand-carved 5-piece wooden figures of a huntsman, horse and three hounds, English 1920s -30s. These are splendid toy figures with the most earnest facial expressions depicted on the hounds and with the rider in traditional garb. The paint is original and free from restoration but there are several make-do-repairs to damaged limbs and also missing pieces of wood to the rider’s foot and various tail extremities. It is a wonderful and charming group but very much in played with condition. The horse measures 7” in length and with the rider, 7 ¼” in height. The hounds are approximately 3 ¾” and 4” in length.
