Price for shipping to USA
Antique stoneware kitchen jars for cornflour and tapioca, Scottish, late 19th C. Impressed "Grosvenor, Glasgow" mark on the side. Both Jars have a nice treacle-glazed upper body and lid, ornate transfer-printed lettering within a scrolled banner and a crisp "rope and chain" impressed design. Good decorative examples. Great displayed in a European-style country kitchen.
Jars are in excellent condition considering that these kinds of jars are generally hard to find in decent condition and with their lids intact. There are a couple of minor chips on both lids and a chip to the rim of the cornflour jar. There is an old, very tight star crack on the underside of the tapioca jar, as shown. No stains or restoration. Both jars are usable.
Cornflour jar measures 9 1/2" in height and 6 1/2" in diameter. Tapioca jar measures 8 1/2" in height and 6" in diameter.
