Superb pair of English Art Deco shop display pedestal stands dated 1928. Made from brass, copper and steel, this refined pair of height adjustable stands, have been revamped to their former splendor. They come in magnificent condition, each has been beautifully cleaned and polished and both are ready to take center stage again as focal points in a room. Each stand is supported by three finely reeded brass columns which rest on very deco-style triangular bases. Inside the brass columns are copper tubes which are the extendable components. The stands are very solid and sturdy and were designed to hold objects of considerable weight even when fully extended. Both are dated 20/9/28 (i.e. Sept 20th 1928) with an impressed mark on the height adjustment handle. They come in their original condition (with the exception of the polished surfaces) free from damage or any other restoration.

The circular bases differ slightly in diameter. One is 6 ¾” in diameter and the other is 7 ½” in diameter. Height ranges from 17” to 32”. Triangular base is 9 ¾” x 9 ¾” x 9 ¾”.
