About Us
Thank you for taking the time out to read a little bit about us and our store. Our New Year goal for 2008 is to establish an online presence for our business ~ Ducktown General Store. We are ecstatic to be showcasing our merchandise on Ruby Lane!

Even though we are new to Ruby Lane….my husband (Colby) and I (Kym) are not new to antiques, or offering quality merchandise to our customers for purchase or selling (through various venues) on the internet. I am an avid collector of costume jewelry and antiques. I actually started selling quality merchandise to help subsidize my costs in support of my addiction to vintage/antique jewelry …..LOL!! That was several years ago and now we are an established business just north of Atlanta, Georgia. We have a great clientele and many repeat customers. Colby and I feel the need to branch out into the internet……so…..here we are!

We specialize in jewelry (as I said), collectibles, and vintage/retro pieces. I absolutely love things from the 60’s. I often will have vanity items such as purses, compacts, trinket boxes, etc. I enjoy china and depression glass. I love ‘girly’ stuff of all shapes and sizes. Between Colby and I, we have a very wide range of interests. We have passed this collecting bug on to our youngest son – who is a WWII collector and (with the help of his many friends who specialize in this era) is building an excellent collection.

Our goal for our virtual shop is to provide shoppers with a unique, interesting and lovely selection of goods that will surprise you each time you return for a visit. As I said, we have eclectic interests…..so you never know what you may find shopping with us! The only thing that should not be a surprise is our commitment to quality and customer service. This should be an expectation that we will strive to live up to at all time.

Ruby Lane’s philosophy is to shop and relax. It is a great way to look over many items from your home. We started our stores because we are big internet shoppers. I love to wake up at 5 AM and spend the first two hours of my day drinking coffee and shopping or researching. With gas prices and time crunches……there’s no better way to go! Sit back, relax and visit as often as you can.
