SOLD Seth Thomas Inlaid Balloon Clock in Mint Original Condition

Seth Thomas inlaid balloon mantel or shelf clock in Mint restored condition. Circa 1905. Clock is 12" tall, 7 1/2" wide, 5" deep with a 5" diameter mint original porcelain dial. The inlaid mahogany case has a strong original finish. No damage to the case or inlay. Like all of our mechanical clocks the signed Seth Thomas movement was professionally rebuilt. The clock is a week duration with a deep resonating hour and half hour chime. All brass parts were polished and sealed. The case was cleaned and 3 coats of cabinet wax applied. The clock has been restored to the same condition as the day it was made over 100 years ago. The movement was disassembled and ultrasonically cleaned. All pivots were resurfaced and polished on a lathe. Six bronze bushings were installed into worn pivot holes. The verge was stoned and polished, then trued to the escape wheel. The amplitude of the pendulum is very strong. The clock runs accurately for 7 days.

A SIDE NOTE: Saying the restoration work was performed and actually having it done by a knowledgeable clockmaker are two different issues. I am a clockmaker with 35+ years experience and sell only 100% Legitimate Antique Clocks in Mint to Excellent Restored condition.
