Antique American lemon juicer or press in mint condition. The juicer is cast iron, comprised of four pieces. It is marked #2 and also has the maker's name; Landers,Frary & Clark, New Britain, Conn. USA. Circa 1870 - 1885. The lemon was considered an essential foodstuff on ships during the 1860's as a preventive against scurvy. The manual juicer operated as a press, had a fluted cup with a spout for pouring the extracted lemon juice. No damage or repairs. See photos.
