Antique pin for flower or corsage, circa 1860 - 1870, pin is gold gilt 2 1/2" overall in length by 3/4" at widest, complete with original safety chain. All "sky blue" turquoise are matching. The six on the pin guard are en cabochon graduating in size. The nine turquoise inset on the "sword" handle are very close in size with only slight variation(natural for the age) and also en cabochon. All settings are closed back. Turquoise is recognized as a December birthstone. This very delicate style pin would have practical uses today being worn as a tie or scarf pin. See photos.
