Antique cluster ring, 1905, 9 carat gold, brilliant cut paste, white, clear and bright, 8 smaller surrounding larger center paste. Band is marked with GHS 9 375 Birmingham(anchor)English hallmark, (f) 1905. Paste was used to simulated precious stones. It is cut in the same way as precious stones. The setting and mounting was done by the same craftsman with the same precision and delicacy as precious stones. The back on the ring is closed, paste are prong set, shoulder is carved. Shank has been resized. See photos.
