Antique Brass or Copper Cooking Kettle, kitchenware pot or pail, 9 1/2" tall, 13 1/2" diameter, 17" with handle extended. Marked on the bottom "Pat April 27 1869 March 15 1870." Little to no use, usually the bottoms were badly burnt, this one however is in perfect condition. No dents. Handle is original pig tail iron, no repairs. Kettles as large as this are very difficult to find in this condition. Kettle was most likely made by the Ansonia Brass & Copper Co., of Ansonia, Conn.
