American pine shelf or over mantle, 42" long, 8" wide single board top, 9 3/4" high, 1 1/4" shaped corbels at either end, four fancy cast iron metal hooks on the backboard that appear to be original, the color of the pine is a medium walnut color with an excellent finish, circa 1880 American. Structurally sound and ready to hang. The shelf was screwed directly to the wall during its life time. See photos.
