Fly fishing reel, English 6" diameter, double ball bearing wood and brass fly reel in near mint condition. Size: 6: diameter, spool is 1" wide, unaltered reel foot is 2 3/4" long. Nice early English reel that is made from a single piece of walnut with ball bearings inset into the front and back of the spool. All brass was polished to a mirror finish and then sealed. The wood reel has a strong original finish that was cleaned and waxed. A few minor nicks in the finish on the back. No cracks, breaks, or repairs to the wood or brass. Both bulbous knobs are original with no cracks. Reel spins freely. It has never had a click drag but it can be adjusted. Big wood and brass reels are difficult to find.
