Hat pin, antique 9 1/2" long hatpin, marked Sterling, hatpin head is in the shape of a driver golf club head. This golfing hat pin's head is embossed with a golfer in knickers, teeing off, arm is in swinging motion, and the club house is in the background. From 1905 onward woman were preoccupied with sports and associated activities. Thus the appearance of sporting accessories such as hat pins. The shank is straight, brass with a gold gilt, marked sterling and original. The shank is attached to the head directly into the driver shaft, finding is correct. This is an old, original hatpin and not a reproduction. Excellent condition, no wear to silver, with no damage or repairs. See photos.
