Antique garnet pin or brooch, double flowers, circa 1900 - 1908. Garnet is the birthstone for January. This bar pin or brooch is prong set, facet cut Bohemian garnets. There are 13 beautiful deep red garnets. A large garnet in the center, 6 oval garnets and 6 smaller round garnets set between the oval ones. Some of the stones are open, others have closed backs. See photos. The length of the pin is 1 3/8" and the flower heads are 3/4" diameter. The catch is "C", hinge is round and the pin, hinge and catch are a single assembly.
