Hat pin holder, Japanese porcelain, turn of the century ladies vanity item. Hatpin holder is 5" with fitting holes to insert the hat pins in the top. The body is swirled and ribbed, greyish-white porcelain background with hand painted stylized flowers. Colors are pale tangerine and light rose flowers with green leaves and hand painted gold leaf accenting. The entire body has flowers surrounding. See photos. The top rim and base are scalloped edged.
