Cruet or condiment set in desirable mint green luster, hand painted porcelain in Art Deco colors. These sets were also retailed as Seasoning set when the oil and vinegar where present. Mother of pearl white luster with pink, blue and yellow hues. Backstamp is in black, #14 (Litts) Takito porcelain manufactured in Japan. This set which is actually called a Seasoning set was a popular table accessory at the turn of the century. Tray is ovoid, 9" by 7 1/4" across with pierced gold leafed handles. Salt and pepper shakers have gold leafed tops, 2 3/4" tall. Mustard is 3 3//4" gold leafed double handles and knob on the lid. Mustard spoon is 4 1/4" in length. I imagine the original spoon was probably porcelain; now either lost or broken. Spoon is marked Simon L. and George H. Rogers Company A1. Oil and Vinegar are 7" tall with gold leaf handles and lid knobs. They have pouring spouts. Mint condition, no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs.
