Cocoa or chocolate set, antique Japanese porcelain, turn of the century table accessory, hand painted matching scenic on all pieces, consisting of cocoa pot, four cups and saucers. The cocoa pot is 9 1/4" tall to the top of the lid's fancy cartouche finial, pot has double scroll handle, body of the cocoa pot has six ribs, tapers from the top to the scalloped base. The cocoa lid has the stirring cutout, distinguishing it from a tea or coffee pot. The scene on the set is hand painted bamboo tree, two sampans; one in the foreground and the other in the distance. Setting shows sunset at the horizon. Bamboo trees are outlined in white enamel. Four saucers are 5" in diameter have scallop edge outlined in forest green. Cups are 2 7/8" tall, ribbed with scallop edge at the base. Backstamp #20a (Litts) green stencil. See photos. No chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. See photos.
