Book ends, a pair of Sirroco wood, circa turn of the century, featuring a child reading with his dog laying at his feet, size is 6 1/4" high, base is 2 1/2" by 5". Finely detailed, composition with the appearance of wood, excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Subject is very appealing. It is of a young boy reclining on an over-stuffed sofa, he is reading a book, while his dog is sleeping at this feet. The sofa has carving on the arm ends, sofa fabric is an abstract leaf pattern, outstanding detailing. The book ends are detailed on three sides. Only the back and the bottom are smooth.
