Cake set, Noritake porcelain white and gold series, backstamp #27 in green, circa 1925 - 1930, Art Nouveau, gold leafed high relief floral design. Gold leaf diaper along the edge of all dishes. Pattern is matching on all pieces. Cake platter is 9 3/4" handle to handle. Handles are pierced, shaped and gold leafed. Border with Art Nouveau design has pale yellow background with four medallions with flowers and four swags. Six individual serving plates are same pattern with the exception that there three medallions and swags. Cake plates are 6 1/2" in diameter. Mint condition, no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. This is an earlier white and gold series set, it is all gold there is no coloring of the flowers with orange, red, green or blue. Coloring was a feature used after 1940. See photos.
