Doorstop, antique cast brass clipper ship, sailing or galleon boat door stop, circa turn of the century home accessory. Door stop is 10 3/4" tall, 10" across the front and stands level on the floor on 3" feet. High relief detailing showing port holes, ladder, sail rope ladders, rudder, anchor and furled flags. No damage or repairs. Brass is in excellent condition with aged patina. Guaranteed old. While painted ships are colorful, the more expensive ones made were brass. Scribed on the back is "68", most likely a mold or foundry mark. Back side has aged patina and normal roughness inherent on old doorstops.
