Happy Indiana Glass Collecting!
This is a beautiful purple carnival glass plate. This is the second in a series of Christmas in America plates made by Fenton. This is dated 1971. It is titled "The Old Brick Church". This 8 inch plate comes to you mint, in it's original box, with it's original stand and tag. The stand has never been opened. This plate is VERY limited in number. According to the tag, the mould for this plate was destroyed December 31, 1971. This plate can NEVER be reproduced.
The description on the back of this plate reads:
Christmas in America - No. 2
Built in 1632, this building has the distinction of being the oldest house of worship still standing in the original colonies. It is the oldest Protestant Church in America and the only colonial Gothic church in use today.
Isle of Wight County, Virginia
Beautiful plate in MINT condition. This would be a wonderful and rare addition to any carnival glass collection.
