SOLD RARE Carnival Glass Flute Variant Bowl, Base and Berry Bowls - Old Imperial #3939

This is a very RARE Berry Set made by Imperial Glass in the early 1900's. The pattern is called Flute Variant . It is Imperial pattern number 3939. This lovely set consists of the large 10 inch bowl, the matching base and six matching berry bowls. The little berry bowls are VERY rare. This is probably the only time you will ever see a complete berry set in the Flute Variant pattern.

This lovely set is a rich marigold with LOTS of radiant carnival colors. The set is high gloss with high radium shine. This set looks like it was double dipped in radium shine. The bowl and base have no damage. The little bowls measure about 5 inches across. They do not look like they have ever been used. They are bright and sunny and cute as can be!

The bowls are factory perfect but do have various little mould flaws. Five are excellent, one is missing part of it's base. Please see the picture. This too is factory. The flawed base does not effect the way the bowl sits and can only be seen when turned over. All look AWESOME grouped around the large bowl and base.

In Edwards 7th, these little Flute Variant bowls are listed as being very rare and have a book value of 60.00 each. The bowl and base are listed as rare with a book value of 300.00. I am listing this rare set well below book value. This would be a wonderful and rare addition to any carnival glass collection.
