Happy Indiana Glass Collecting!
This is a blue opal swan made by Dugan. Dugan made the non-iridized opalescent colors in 1906. This beauty is 102 years old. The pattern is called "Pastel Swans". This is unmarked.
This pretty swan stands 4 inches tall to the top of it's head and measures nearly 5 inches long. It is a little over 3 inches wide across the back opening. The feathers are highly detailed and the opal shows proudly on the swan's chest. Very impressive piece with no damage or wear. There are some slight imperfections in the glass, a couple of small bubbles and some sand. This is typical and to be expected in old glass. I had to take a magnifying glass to find it so it is non-distracting to the eye. This 102 year old beauty would be an excellent addition to any glass collection.
